FAQ

Q. Why do you need our current filter part number?

A.  This allows CAF to cross your filter’s dimensions and specifications to accurately provide a cleaning or new filter replacement quote.

Q. How do I know when my filters need replaced?

A. Before and after cleaning, every filter is tested and inspected to insure like new condition to be put back into service.  CAF uses a 5,000 CFM blower to test and record the pressure drop across your filter to track in our internal database.  Once recycled filters become less than 95% efficient, CAF will (fail/reject) the customers filter.

Q. Do I get test results?

A. Yes. Our Quality Assurance document (QA doc) includes of a list of your cleaned filters and data results including pressure drop and weights before and after cleaning. The QA doc is sent back with the cleaned filters or can be requested to be sent electronically.

Q. How many times can my filters be cleaned?

A. That number is dependent upon various conditions.  Factors that affect the number of recycled cycles include: maintenance schedule, filter application, filter media, type of dust collection equipment etc.  In our experience customers, customers can recycle the same filter through their system 4-8 times.

Q. Can I send test filters?

A. Yes, we recommend sending a couple of filters to test for your own review when first implementing our cleaning program or adding an additional process.

Q. How long does it take?

A.  The typical lead time for a “batch” of filters to be cleaned is 2-3 weeks depending on the current demand in our filter cleaning schedule.  We do offer an expedite service for filters that need to be cleaned and returned sooner.  Please contact us direct to further discuss.

Q. Do you charge for shipping?

A. Yes. We offer a per pallet or truck load rate that will include both pick-up and delivery (roundtrip).

Q. I may have hazardous material in my dirty filters, can they be cleaned?

A. This will be subjective to your application.  We have an EHS Manager on staff for determining the economical, logistics and compliance processes per DOT and EPA-RCRA standards for proper management and handling.
